Vision Benefits of America to Update Product Offerings

Changes Will Go into Effect November 18, 2021

Pittsburgh PA, November 18, 2021 – Vision Benefits of America, Inc. (VBA), a commercial group benefits organization, today announced changes to its fee schedule and frame allowance model.

“We understand how important eye care is for maintaining a high-quality life. We worked with manufacturers to provide affordable, no-line multifocal lenses to our members,” said Matthew Cuomo, Vice President Sales and Sales Support at VBA. “We’re very excited to offer basic progressive lenses to our members for only $29 out-of-pocket.”

Other notable changes to VBA’s fee schedule include a lower cost for standard anti-reflective coatings starting at $31 and its all-new retail frame allowance.

“Based on feedback from our groups and providers, we recognize the importance of an easy-to-understand frame allowance,” said Jeff Hollowood, CEO and President at VBA. “Using a retail frame allowance, we are confident members will be able to better manage their budget when selecting new eyeglasses.”

In addition to the new retail frame allowance, VBA will continue to offer its wholesale frame allowance.
