VBA spends a great deal of time giving back to our community. We’re always looking for ways to help, and we recently had the opportunity to provide a local K9 officer with a bullet and stab proof vest.
This year, the Pennsylvania Association of School Board Officials (PASBO)’s annual conference selected the theme of Honoring Heroes. VBA took this opportunity to collect business cards, and pledged to donate $5 to Vested Interest in K9s, Inc., (VIK9S) for every business card we collected. VIK9s is a non-profit fundraising organization that provides bullet and stab-proof vests to K9 officers throughout the United States.
VBA’s donation to VIK9s was able to provide one vest. Thanks to the generosity of VIK9s, we were able to designate the donation to the Baldwin Police Department, where K9 officer Ajay was the recipient.
On Tuesday, October 18, VBA’s Vice President of Sales and Sales Support, Matthew Cuomo and Daniel Gissin, our Director, Business Development, attended Baldwin Borough’s council meeting. VBA was recognized by the borough for the donation and had the opportunity to meet Ajay and his handler, Officer Pagane.
We are grateful to the Baldwin Police Department, and all emergency services units, for keeping our communities safe and enjoyable places to live and work.
