Supporting Paws with a Cause

Here at VBA, we strive to make a difference in our community. In the early months of 2017, we decided to lending a helping hand to an organization that helps those in need. The mission of Paws with a Cause® is to enhance the independence and quality of life for people with disabilities nationally through custom-trained Assistance Dogs.

Paws with a Cause

Throughout 2017, we campaigned for business cards at the various events and trade shows we attended. We made a pledge to donate $5 to PAWS® for every card we collected.

We are grateful to those who participated in our campaign. As a result, we reached a $900 donation.

You might be wondering, “What will this provide?” Here’s a look at some of the services the donation money can be put towards:

$26 is the cost of micro-chipping two Assistance Dogs.

$38 is the cost for one month of food for one dog in training at PAWS.

$104 is the cost for a special harness for service dogs for Children with Autism.

$161 is the cost of sending a foster puppy home with a foster puppy raiser. This includes the crate, leash, cape, collar and medical products.

$225 is the cost for a smoke alert box for clients and their hearing dogs.
